So you think you can dance, No Air

This is a video clip from one of my favorite shows. I am not a very talented dancer, but I absolutely love to watch dancing. These two dancers, Katee and Joshua were actually my favorites from the season. I think that this show is inspiring to many dancers out there and it gives many of them a shot at getting seen. I think that this could be something that students would connect with because it is familiar and it shows how amazing dance can really be. Introducing Joshua or one of the other guys from the competition might even give that extra motivational push to boys who might not be as enthusiastic about dancing. It shows that there are lots of different types of dancing and no one form is better than the others. I hope you enjoy the clip.

Ugggghhh! Dancing With the Stars, I am beginning to dread it already. That is a show I would never watch, except that my wife loves it. In the winter/spring while I am doing my homework she's often watching it and, being highly distractable,I sit down just to watch one dance and end up staying for the whole show. I would rank dance as my least favorite artistic form but I have watched more dancing in the last two years than the previous thirty. The show is also very educational, so I know more about dance technique and styles than I every wanted to. Unintentional learning...oh no!!

I really agree with what you said about this show being a motivator for boys. I was watching the Canadian So You Think You Can Dance the other day (yes it is that time of year again) and I was a young lady in a wheel chair promoting dance for disabled people as well. It was very inspiring.
